ALX

I was that kid, building weird mechanical creatures out of broken toys and dreaming of traveling through space and time in the 70s. Desoldering electronic components on abandoned equipment, designing and building RC planes and coding on the first microcomputers of the 80s.
I spent a lot of my free time in libraries reading about math and computer science, when I wasn't studying in engineering school.

I loved having fun with Unix SGI/SUN/HP/Dec workstations at school and work, and even with a Cray Supercomputers during my time in the military.
I’m experimenting with Linux since the early 90s, trying to replicate this work environment at home.

3D games developer in the second half of the 90s, coding in C and Assembly and had fun with the first 3D video cards prototypes. Later, I moved into IT and system administration, but still in the video game industry.

I naturally found an affinity with the Hacker & Cyberpunk community, so I am a kind of Cyber Freak.

Fortunately my passion for photography helped me get away from my screens a bit. I can sometimes be found with my camera at concerts and Rock/Metal/Gothic/Cyberpunk parties. I like filming in small dark scenes, with special lights, lasers and all these friendly dancing freaks. It's an open door for me to meet new friends.
All of this completes the friendships made online over the years (IRC, Usenet Newsgroups, Twitter and Mastodon). 😀
